Features

Everything Nafsi does

Written out in full, in the order a clinical day tends to use them. Nafsi is built for solo practitioners and very small practices — the list is long, but nothing on it is there to fill out a comparison table.

macOS 13 and later · Windows 10 and later · Arabic, English & French · works fully offline

01 / The record

The patient file

One place per patient, and one page per visit.

Patient record & intake

Demographics, intake, case history and status in a single record, so a patient's file is one place rather than four. New patients begin from an intake rather than an empty form.

Session workspace

One page per visit: the session note, what changed clinically that visit, the education material you gave the patient, and the files attached to it. You prepare for the session on this page and you write it up on the same one.

Session notes

Structured notes carrying a mood rating, the exercises you assigned, and a plan for next time — so the following session starts where the last one ended instead of from memory.

Files & attachments

Attach documents, images and video to a patient or to one specific visit, by drag and drop. Consent forms, letters, a photograph of a scale filled in by hand.

02 / The clinical work

Measuring, deciding, treating

The parts that make a course of treatment visible rather than remembered.

Validated assessments

Eight instruments built in — PHQ-9, GAD-7, PCL-5, AUDIT, BDI-II, BAI, DAST-10 and K10 — each scored with published interpretation bands and plotted as a trend over time. You can also author your own instruments, with your own questions, in all three languages.

Symptoms, diagnoses & decision support

Record the symptoms a patient presents with, and Nafsi suggests which screening instruments are worth administering. Once the scores come back it shows which diagnoses the elevated results support. It is offline, deterministic, and always a prompt for your judgement — Nafsi does not diagnose.

Treatments & protocols

A library of therapeutic techniques, plus reusable treatment protocols organised by diagnosis and by school — CBT, ACT and others. Apply one to a patient and you get an editable copy with progress checkboxes, so the plan belongs to that patient rather than staying a template.

Medications

A medication list per patient that keeps the history of every dose change. Nafsi does not write prescriptions and does not check interactions — it is the record of what was prescribed, not the prescribing tool.

Patient education

Build a document for a patient during the session — rich text, images, video — and give it to them. It stays attached to that visit, so you always know what they left with.

Exercises

An exercise library you assign from, per session, and then review at the next one. What you set, and whether it happened.

Mood check-ins

Between-session mood tracking, charted, so the gap between appointments isn't a blank you have to reconstruct by asking.

03 / The week

Scheduling and reaching people

The administrative half of the day, kept short.

Weekly calendar

A real weekly grid, not a list pretending to be one. Drag to book a session or block out time, and Nafsi catches a double-booking before it saves. The whole week at a glance.

Patient messaging

Reusable message templates that open a prefilled WhatsApp message — an appointment reminder, a follow-up. You review and edit every message before it sends, and clinical fields can never be inserted into one.

04 / Your data

Yours, and portable

The parts that matter on the worst day rather than the average one.

Backups & restore

Encrypted backups, on a schedule or on demand, to a folder you choose and protected by a password only you know. Restoring is how you move to a new computer, and how you recover from a dead one.

Data export

Export everything as CSV or JSON whenever you want, whether your licence is current or not. No lock-in, and no need to ask us for a copy of your own work.

Local-first and offline

Nafsi runs on your own computer and does not need an internet connection. Your patients' records stay on your machine — there is no cloud sync and nothing is uploaded, ever.

05 / Languages

Arabic, English and French

Trilingual in the interface and in what you write.

A real right-to-left Arabic interface

Arabic is not a translation layer laid over a left-to-right layout — the whole interface mirrors. You choose which of the three languages your practice uses, and instruments you write yourself can carry their questions in all three.
